Not to sound cliché, but there’s nothing I love more than love. And I do what I do because it’s truly the best job in the world—getting to capture your excitement and emotion on camera (while having an incredible experience!) is a feeling that can’t be replaced.

My latest adventure? Creating inclusive wedding packages that allow you to choose what you want and leave the rest while knowing that your celebration will be everything you’ve ever dreamed of—and more.

Can be found: Backpacking around the world, bungee jumping, watching rom-coms, adding to my tattoo collection, finding the best bagels and pizza everywhere I go.

Hi, I’m Jess –

My work has always been rooted in storytelling – capturing people as they are, in moments that feel honest, emotional, and entirely their own. From studying photography at Florida State to documenting everything from newspaper stories and museum exhibits to elopements and families, my path has always led me back to one thing: people and the stories they carry.

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember, thanks to my aunt who never went anywhere without a camera in hand. That early influence grew into a deep love for narrative portraiture – the kind that doesn’t just show what a moment looked like, but what it felt like.

Originally from Georgia, I’m someone who finds joy in the little things — reading, cooking, hosting gatherings, creating with my hands (fiber arts are a current favorite), and finding the perfect gift for someone I love. My ideal vacation includes warm ocean water and nowhere to be. A fun past life? I was a sailing instructor — which might explain my calm, steady presence on wedding days.

A little about me: I’m an almost Colorado native — and I’ve loved this state ever since I arrived. You’ll usually find me at a local brewery with friends and my dogs. My favorite hike is Hallett Peak in RMNP — partly because snakes don’t exist at that elevation, but mostly because it passes Lily Pad Pond, Dream Lake, and ends at Emerald Lake – just stunning!

About the Role

We’re searching for a Wedding Sales Consultant to help couples plan their dream Colorado wedding or elopement on warm inbound video calls.

You’re not selling software. You’re not cold-calling strangers. You’re not grinding through a 6-month procurement cycle to close a deal nobody cares about. You’re on a video call with a couple who just got engaged, helping them figure out how to elope on a mountain in Colorado, or plan a ceremony in a wildflower meadow with their closest people and the Rockies behind them. When they book, you’ll hear “you just made our dream real and this was so easy” on a regular basis.

That’s the job.

Adventure Amore is the parent company behind Colorado Outdoor Weddings, Superbloom Weddings, and Adventure Amore Photography. We doubled revenue last year and are on track to quadruple it this year. The model is proven, the leads are coming in, and our current on-call close rate is 30%. We’re hiring two Sales Consultants as the founding members of our dedicated sales team.

We’re not just growing a business — we’re on a mission to change the way the wedding industry works. Too many couples spend months stressed, overwhelmed, and overpaying for an experience that should be joyful from the very first conversation. You’d be the first person they talk to, and the one who sets the tone for everything that follows.

We’re onboarding by June 1st. This process is moving fast.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Actually Do

You’ll spend your days on video calls with couples who’ve already reached out to us — warm inbound leads, not cold outreach. Your job is to listen, understand what they want their day to look and feel like, answer their questions, and guide them to the right package.

This is consultative, emotionally driven selling. You’re not pushing product. You’re helping people make a decision they already want to make, and you’re the first person who makes them feel like this is actually going to happen.

A typical day: 5–6 scheduled calls (60 minutes each), 1–2 follow-ups, plus CRM updates and prep. You’ll manage an active pipeline of 8–10 prospects at any given time. Monthly booking target is 30, and the goal is to book on the call.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Based within one hour of Denver, CO
  • 2+ years in consultative, emotion-driven, or relationship-based sales — OR 2+ years in the wedding industry working directly with couples. If you’ve been selling packages and managing client expectations, that counts as sales experience, even if your title never said “sales.”
  • If you’re coming from another sales role, you bring the process discipline — we’ll teach you the product. You’ll walk into a proven call architecture, objection frameworks, a custom pricing calculator, and warm inbound leads, not a blank whiteboard and a phone list.
  • Comfort navigating emotionally charged conversations where the buyer’s partner, parents, or budget concerns are all in play
  • Self-directed time management. You’ll have structure, KPIs, and a proven call framework, but nobody standing over your shoulder

What We’re Not Looking For

  • “Always be closing” energy. Our couples aren’t marks. If the package isn’t right, we say so.
  • Purely transactional sales backgrounds (high-volume, low-touch, commodity products)
  • Exclusively B2B/enterprise experience with no consumer-facing sales
  • A resume that shows a new job every 6–12 months

Why We Need You Near Denver

We’re building a real team, not a disconnected call center. We do regular team offsites, in-person planning sessions, and collaborative work days. We want our sales team connected to the photographers, the creative process, and the couples we serve.

Compensation & Benefits

Full-time, W-2. Fully remote, must be based within one hour of Denver (more on why below).

Let’s be upfront: we can’t out-pay a SaaS company, a med device firm, or a solar sales org on OTE alone — and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. What we offer is meaningful work, a product people actually care about, a team that knows your name, and a real path to grow with a company that’s scaling fast.   • $58,000 base salary
  • Per-booking commission (weekend bookings earn a higher rate)
  • On-target earnings: ~$85,000/year at standard hours and targets
  • High performers taking additional calls realistically earn $100,000–$115,000+
  • 90-day ramp guarantee — your income is protected while you learn the process
  • Lead volume guarantee — if we don’t deliver enough scheduled calls, your commission is protected based on your historical close rate. You’re not penalized for something you don’t control.
  • Full healthcare, 401(k), unlimited PTO (we track to make sure you’re actually taking it)

Growth

You’re one of the first two dedicated sales hires at a company that’s scaling fast. This is the ground floor.

  • Year 1: Sales Consultant, ~$85K OTE (higher for top performers)
  • Year 1.5–3: Senior Sales Consultant, $90K–$100K+ OTE

About the Role

This role is part photography, part hospitality, and part ongoing artistic development.

This position begins with a ~2-month contractor period where we work together, evaluate fit, and ensure alignment in creativity, communication, and client experience.

After this period, photographers who demonstrate strong teamwork, artistry, and culture alignment will transition into a full-time role with full benefits.

Once full-time, your first 2–3 months will focus on structured onboarding – including 1:1 mentorship, field training, shadowing, creative development sessions, and client experience mastery – with continued training and growth built into your role on a weekly basis with your team

We’re not asking you to arrive as a “finished” artist. We’re investing in you to help you become your best.

What You’ll Do

  • Support couples from their first inquiry call through final gallery delivery – creating and leading exceptional wedding experiences by understanding their vision, guiding them through a thoughtful, joyful, well-planned day, and ensuring they feel present, safe, and fully celebrated.
  • Photograph elopements and micro-weddings across Colorado (most within 1.5–2 hours of Denver), deliver sneak peeks & galleries, and approve edits – while our internal editors handle all editing so your focus stays on teamwork, artistry and clients.
  • Collaborate deeply with your team through shared planning, problem-solving, support, and creative partnership – forming one aligned crew committed to creating our best work together.
  • Grow as an artist and teammate through weekly training, creative development sessions, structured mentorship, and supportive critique inside a culture built around continuous learning.

Weekly expectations (Full-Time) 

  • 10+ hours of shooting per week
  • 4 in-person days per week, 1 work from home day:
    • 2 shooting days
      1 creative developement/training day 
    • 1–2 days of client calls, planning, and team collaboration
  • Flexible scheduling based on weather, travel, and seasonality

Compensation & Benefits

  • $45,000 – $60,000 base, plus commission and performance incentives

    Typical total compensation ranges $70,000 – $90,000
